Lovell has been vocal about Blaine’s lackluster performances, the lack of mystery in his stunts, and his overall mockery of the magic industry. Lovell has also cast his spell on Edwards by pointing out 4 of his major mistakes in October. Lovell is waiting for them both to accept his “public duel” during his upcoming television show, which is in its developmental stage. To help Santa, Lovell is sweetening the deal for the holidays.
In the spirit of the holidays, if Blaine or Edwards agree to accept Lovell’s challenge, he will personally donate 1,000 toys to “Toys for Tots” – IF THE CHALLENGE IS ACCEPTED ON OR BY DECEMBER 23, 2006.
Lovell has received support for the challenges, as well as comments by those who question his motivates. “I cannot reveal why I am challenging them, but soon, when the plot of my television show is revealed, people will understand why,” Lovell stated. “The Reality of Curtis” television program concept has been kept under lock and key. Lovell said, “There has never been a magic show like this before.”
“The Reality of Curtis” show is in negotiations with 2 major networks and is slated for filming in 2007. Lovell indicates that he will not back off until the challenge is accepted. “Blaine may disappear and Edwards may be invisible, like the spirits he speaks to,” Lovell said, adding that he will find them both. And that he will wait patiently, but not quietly, until they accept his challenge.
