December 6, 2006 (Press Release) --
From: Llumina Press.
Indianapolis, IN. November 27, 2006.
Llumina Author, Anthony Waugh, scores unusual double with song contest success.
Indianapolis author Anthony Waugh’s book of short stories ‘Issi’s (and other) Tales’, published by Llumina Press, drew comparisons with Poe and O. Henry and was selected Fiction Book of the Month at BookReview.com. He has since had a song selected as a finalist at SongoftheYear.com. The song, ‘Me & Dylan’ was selected in the Country Music category for September.
Waugh says, “I recorded a few songs, with my son-in-law’s Dad, who is a professional musician, just to see how they would come out. We made a CD strictly for family and friends. When the book got such good reviews, I was emboldened to send a couple of songs to the contest and, voila, one of them was a finalist. I really do not expect much more to come of it because I intend to pay more attention to writing prose, but it would be cool if Bob Dylan got to hear it.”
As a finalist, the song will be circulated to music publishers, studios, agents and managers in the music industry. Christian Alday of SongoftheYear.com said that they are not sure how else to publicize the feat because “this is beyond anything we have had experience with.”
Issi’s (and other) Tales is a ‘Fiction Book of the Month’ selection at BookReview.com and a featured title at BookIdeas.com. The book has received other favorable reader and critic reviews, which can be seen at the author’s web site – www.anthonywaugh.com. The book is available on-line at all Amazon, Borders, Target and Barnes & Noble web-sites.
The CD containing ‘Me & Dylan’ is not for sale.
