December 7, 2006 (Press Release) --
ESTABLISHED Soho extras and artists agency Lee’s People Ltd (www.leescasting.co.uk) has answered the call of the South Coast, and moved operations to Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Lee’s People, which had operated from the heart of Central London’s entertainment industry for more than 18-years, was attracted to Eastbourne by the town’s welcoming attitude towards new businesses.
As well as the fact mile-for-mile, Eastbourne probably has as many Soho-style pubs, clubs and bars as Soho itself!
Lee’s People provides extras, artists and walk-ons for films, commercials and TV favourites such as Eastenders; Holby City and The Bill. As well as models for high-end photographic shoots.
And new buzz marketing campaigns. Which can see extras sent out “under cover” on trains, into supermarkets or major sporting events.
Lee’s People is one of the top five extras agencies in the UK.
Director, Jason Nicholls, said: “We’re one of a number of London businesses which are relocating to the South Coast. Why? Because it’s a place you can do business.
“Everything is geared towards making businesses succeed. It’s even easy to park. Whereas in London, everything – even the environment – seems to work against you.
“Eastbourne is also becoming a mini Hollywood itself. In terms of feature films, such as Pearl Harbour and Harry Potter. As well as TV favourites such as Little Britain. They all filmed here. It really is the place to be.”
One of the first new members to join Lee’s People is expected to be Eastbourne Mayoress Anna Belsey.

Notes:
We had more than 500 people on our books from Eastbourne and the
South East prior to our move. And can provide these free of copyright
for any news item. They provide a lovely snap shot of people in the
region who work as extras.
We are not looking to recruit new members.
Lee’s People does not charge its extras for being on its books. And is a member of NASA The National Association Of Supporting Artiste Agencies.
