Macbeth showcased during Toronto International Film Festival
Pacific Continental Fund Management, the specialist fund manager has reported returns on its Film Opportunities Fund of 22.56% since its inception in February 2005 – far exceeding its target return of 10 % growth.
Macbeth the second project of the Film Opportunities Fund, was showcased during September at the Toronto International Film Festival and filming for the next title, to be produced by Vertigo, commences in November 06 and has an on-screen target date of summer 2007.
Peter Phelan, Fund Manager, Pacific Continental Securities, says:
“Gap Finance gives investors opportunity to invest in the film industry without all of the usual risks associated with it. It offers the potential for risk managed capital growth from an asset class uncorrelated to other investments. The relationship with Vertigo Films will enable the Film Opportunities Fund to identify and access a wider pool of films for investment. We have invested funds into the first project and are in discussions regarding a second. ”
The Film Opportunities Fund PLC is managed by Pacific Continental Securities Management (IOM) Ltd and was launched in February 2005. The Fund is an open-ended investment company established under the laws of the Isle of Man and invests in gap finance for film.
