USA & Spain Take Top Honors at 3rd Black & White Spidewr Awards

were announced in a special live web presentation attended online by
photography fans from over 50 countries, Sunday, December 10, 2006.

Top Honor of "Photographer of the Year" went to Michele Clement of
USA, winning the professional category by receiving 40 nominations and
5 wins and Julio Hardy of Spain who won the amateur category receiving
27 nominations and 5 wins.

Upon receiving the photography world's highest honor for black and

white, Clement's ten word acceptance speech was "Creation,
preparation, submission, pins and needles, shock, awe, acceptance,
gratitude."

101 coveted title awards in 25 categories where nominated by the
Awards renowned Judging Panel who spent eight weeks screening images
online and featured captains of the industry from Magnum Photos, Leica
Gallery, Bonni Benrubi, PDN, Man Ray Trust, LIFE Magazine,
Communication Arts, Fratelli Alinari, TATE Gallery and Hamiltons of London.
