December 30, 2006 (Press Release) --
BBC Award winning poet and author, Paul R Seymour has just published his 3rd book, An Undertaker's Diary (ISBN No. 9781425976088) which is based on the diaries he kept during his seven and a half years serving as an Undertaker for the Co-operative Funeral Service in the 70/80's.
A unique and atypical publication, each chapter is a 'self-contained' story turning the book, as a whole, into a kaleidoscope of emotions and gory visualisations.
'Not for the faint hearted' the book tells the stories of some of the more 'memorable encounters' with death that Paul faced on a daily basis and is a down to earth collection of tales that will both entertain and shock.
Told in Paul's inimitable style, readers will find themselves immersed in the world of the undertaker coming face to face with situations and encounters that would not have been out of place on a set of a horror movie.
Most stories have an accompanying image that help 'set the scene' and further enhance the readers involvement and Paul's renowned 'sick sense of humour' adds even further to the experience.
The book is already beginning to gather local interest and acclaim and it is hoped/expected that Paul's 3rd book will gain a much wider audience in due course.
Pick up a copy now at most bookstores (quoting the ISBN Number above) or from Amazon.co.uk (or Amazon.com).
