Spitzer State of the State Message: Reform is coming.
New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer in his State of the State speech as New York State Governor talked about reform being the main word out of his speech. He talked about cutting property taxes, reforming our ethics laws in Albany, reforming our campaign finance system and reforming our education funding formula. Albany will be no longer be the Government of Dysfunction, instead it will be the Government of the people, by the people and for the people. The Yonkers Insider hopes both houses will embrace this Reform agenda. The people of this State want Albany to be more open to the people's concerns and not a place where politicians concerns matter more than the people. Spitzer will be the leader in this reform agenda and other key Albany leaders can really give the people what they want. Also new leaders in Albany, like State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins will be an important player in the Democratic Caucus in helping push Spitzer's agenda. Cousins will be a rising star in the State Senate. There is a new feeling in Albany: "Reform is Coming".
The people want:
1. Lower Property Taxes.
2. More Competitive Elections.
3. Government that is above aboard and holding people accountable for their actions.
4. A better education funding formula to help our children's future.
5. The end of lobbyist controlling the agenda in Albany. This reform agenda will be what the people want.
6. Leaders who make decisions for the good of this State and not what's best for the political campaign.

8. Health Care that is affordable for all.
9. Laws that better protect our children from sex offenders, like The Civil Confinement Bill.
