January 6, 2007 (Press Release) --
I want people to read my blog/popularity
Ok. There are a lot of you out there that want their blog to be read by others but don’t know how to do it. I’ll explain to you just a few ways to get out there and get it done.
I’ve never really been much of a writer, but do know how to research things and definitely have a good idea about marketing.
About a week ago, I decided to do some research on my own about blogs and the internet. One thing that I’ve found out is that link popularity is probably one of the key things to get out there and get noticed. #1 Ask yourself who is into the same things you are. According to Lee Odden Posted by Lee Odden on Nov 6th in Online Marketing, Blogging | ,
“There are over 57 million blogs out there, and about 70% are active”. It would be relatively easy for a blogger to find others with similar interests.
Last week I started a blog dealing with adult content http://hotfuckedwives.thumblogger.com/
(Don’t go there if you are under 18 or are offended by adult material), and I found that it’s not real easy to get readers to your blog unless you network with a lot of blogs that are similar to yours. My first day, I think I might have had fifty people come to the blog. I thought that people would automatically come, but they didn’t. So, that is where I started doing all of my research.
Just go to any search engine, such as Google or yahoo to do your research and find others with the same interests. Once you do that, make sure to both subscribe to other blogs and link to them. Here is a basic rule when it comes to linking. Make sure to have a link on your blog referring to their blog first before trying to submit your blog to be on their link list. Don’t just try to get others to link to your blog without fully reading all about their blogs. Make sure that the blogs have similarity to your blog. One thing to avoid when finding other blogs to link to is link farms. A link farm is a place where tons of links are submitted, or traded just in hope that people will come to their blog. This is where search engine popularity comes in.
Your blog will be hard to find in a search engine when you first start out. It all takes time and patience; along with a lot of hard work. In order for people to find you in the search engines, you must have “key words” in the Meta tags of your site. If you don’t have a clue of what I’m talking about or have no idea about html programming, you might either do some research on how to put meta tags into your page, or just pay for someone to do it for you. If you are like me (on a shoestring budget), I’d suggest doing it yourself. There is a lot of good information on doing this stuff at Christopher Heng’s website http://www.thesitewizard.com/archive/metatags.shtml . Very useful information on Meta tags, keyword ranking, and more.
The last thing that I’d like to mention i

This is to help the new people in the blogging world get their blogs read by other people, or to become an interlebrity.
