January 18, 2007 (Press Release) --
Manassas, VA - The Northern Virginia Christian Women in Fellowship are proud to annouce a special Murder Mystery Dinner event to be held on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 7:00 PM. The event is free for all participants and will feature an Italian buffet and pasta bar.
The idea for a murder mystery dinner and other events held by the group came to Jenni Parks, who leads the popular social group, when she realized that there were not a lot of faith friendly group activities for Christian women in the area. “The DC metro area is renowed for its fantastic dance clubs and bars, but many women, especially those with families and young children are longing to forge meaningful close friendships. It is hard to make those types of connections in this transient area, especially if you limit yourself to the restaurant and bar scene. I believe our group provides women in their 20s, 30s and 40s a great opportunity meet others who share their values,” says Parks.
The social group holds multiple events weekly such as board game nights and museum trips. Plans for a snowy winter retreat are also underway. To attend the Murder Mystery Dinner, participants will need to sign up ahead of time on the group's website. The group is open to all woman in the Northern Virginia area, and is free to join.
