January 21, 2007 (Press Release) --
VOSH/International has a growing number of chapters throughout the world including international schools of optometry. VOSH/International's objective is to have short term mission with long term effect so that the underserved nations are provided with eye care and eventualy programs become sustainable. One approach is the reason for sending a container to Ghana which will encourage optometry students to provide humanitarian services with less outside help.

Ghana has two optometry schools that are lacking in diagnostic equipment. Students must borrow from each other. Inventory will leave World Medical Relief warehouse for Ghana Jan 24, 2007.
