On Tuesday 23rd of January 2007 The Siesta Group was pleased to announce an expansion of the current organization in Vienna, Austria in an effort to establish business operations in North America.
The supervisory board met on Saturday January 12th and approved the establishment of the North American operation. The operation will begin sales activities immediately, and will seek to expand further within the next 12 months with technical and administrative resources to fully service the sleep diagnostic market. The operation will be headed by Mr. Alexander Barr. (See Press Release 1/20/2007)
The emphasis of the initial entry into the North American market will be complimented with the innovative automated sleep scoring software, “Somnolyzer 24x7” an already clinically proven software tool which is in current use throughout Europe and with significant effect in the United States of America.
Somnolyzer 24x7 is a computer-based scoring tool that tremendously increases a technician’s efficiency in scoring polysomnographic sleep studies. Its technology has been independently proven to be among the world’s leading scoring systems. The emphasis of the product offering is found in 3 areas of Sleep Diagnostic Center operations. i) Cost: Currently it is recognized nation wide that Sleep Study costs are soaring for both labs and insurance providers. Somnolyzer 24x7 in its nature significantly reduces the cost of carrying out manual scoring activities and provides the lab more value added activities expected from technical staff. ii) Consistency: By reducing the variation currently evident in manual scoring the consistent quality of scoring is maximized, aiding both technical quality reviewers and physicians to depend on the results with increased confidence, unmatched by any other system in the market. iii) Cyber speed: With Somnolyzer 24x7, the speed at which sleep studies are scored is increased with astounding prowess, resulting in sleep labs becoming more efficient in managing scored studies into the hands of Physicians, subsequently meaning that diagnosis and patient feedback is also done in a more consistent and effective way.
