The Black Writers' Guild of Maryland, Inc. (BWG) – Baltimore, MD Chapter presents
"FROM SLAVERY TO FREEDOM" on February 3, 2007 at Forest Park Branch Public Library 3023 Garrison Blvd, Baltimore, MD from 1pm - 3pm. There will be several of the published authors of the Black Writers' Guild will be on hand to sell their books. Many of the BWG poets will also be featured. This is a free to the community event.
"The Black Writers' Guild of Maryland, Inc. (BWG) is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide avenues of support and networking to Maryland’s African-American writers. With chapters in Baltimore City and Prince Georges' County, we carry out our mission by providing:
• on-going workshops and speakers that educate writers on all aspects of writing
• showcases that provide forums for writers to find their voice through public presentation of their work.”
