January 27, 2007 (Press Release) --
British designer Hannah Marshall, 24, has been chosen as one of the top emerging talents to showcase her collection at the prestigious On|Off event during February’s London Fashion Week.
On|Off is a major programme to support and nurture the best emerging and established British fashion talent, and Hannah is one of a select few designers to be chosen by a high profile industry panel including Caryn Franklin, Betty Jackson, Claire Ginzler and Lee Lapthorne.
On|Off has established itself as one of the hottest tickets during London Fashion Week with an international fashion audience of over 6,000 press and buyers attending the event. Here Hannah will launch her debut collection titled ‘Quiet Noise’, a focused capsule collection of 12 minimalist yet darkly sophisticated dresses designed for Autumn|Winter 2008.
Fast becoming known for her innovative and tactile Braille coded designs featured in her luxury brand, Hannah’s signature detail is cleverly applied with hidden Braille messages.
Overall, this young designer delivers a directional and body conscious collection of refined dresses, minimal in detail yet indulgent in luxury British fabrics; butter soft leather, blackest black long pile velvet, pure silk chiffon and fine stretch wool with a colour palette of obligatory black, graphite, dove and nude.
Since gaining a First Class degree from Colchester School of Art & Design in 2003, and experience with leading London and New York fashion designers, Hannah has gone onto establish herself as an emerging designer and entrepreneur in her own right, recognised by organisations such as the BBC, The Princes Trust, One Year On, Channel 4, NESTA and Sky Television’s Project Catwalk.
If Hannah’s achievements so far are anything to judge, it will be far from a ‘Quite Noise’ she makes at London Fashion Week.
