January 29, 2007 (Press Release) --
Windy City Pizza, knuckle suckin’ barbeque and Chicago-style pizza, unveils new menu to coincide with Chicago Bears’ being back in the Super Bowl.
Bob Yeats, owner of Windy City Pizza - a Peninsula tradition for over 26 years - has created a tempting new menu with even more traditional Chicago-style dishes. And, as the sponsor of the Bears Fan Club for over 10 years, Bob has enthusiastically provided Chicagoans with a place to watch the game and enjoy great food. “We create an energetic atmosphere every Sunday afternoon where Bears fans can connect with each other and enjoy the feel of being back in their old Chicago neighborhood”, Bob commented.
For 13 years Bob’s family-owned restaurant has served up Chicago-style deep pan pizza in downtown San Mateo, CA. Windy City Pizza has been voted ‘Best Pizza and Best Barbeque in San Mateo County’ an impressive seven times. To top it off, Windy City Pizza delivers their authentic Chicago food items and their mouth-watering genuine pit smoked barbeque.
New menu items include ‘The Redhead’, an authentic Chicago-style pizza, served with the rich, red sauce on top, genuine smokehouse pit barbeque, and Eli’s Cheesecake, hands-down the best in the country. Windy City’s new menu also includes coupons valid for pick up and delivery. And, of course, what would a Chicago restaurant be without the great Italian beef and Vienna hotdogs that Windy City Pizza brings out from Chicago? Cooked just right, Chicago-style – Jardinière anyone?
Bob recently started a Happy Hour from 5:00 to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday, offering reduced prices on beer by the pitcher or glass and wine by the glass. Windy City serves complimentary buffet-style appetizers, including chicken wings, meatballs, ravioli, rib tips and a custom spicy, bar mix.
Chicago Bears Fan Club, Windy City Chapter, Chairman Dave Lovendahl (email-bayaraeabears@yahoo.com) Dave says, “Bob Yeats has really catered to the Chicago fan base over the years and always provides great service and a helpful, happy bartender. Just what every Chicago fan needs! The Bears have had such a fabulous year, and celebrating our victories at the restaurant each week has really been something special! After 11 years of running this club, I am looking forward to the best Superbowl party ever at my house. Of course, nothing can really compare to when I got married at halftime during the 2000 Superbowl but…. DA BEARS!!”
