January 31, 2007 (Press Release) --
This month, Stargazer Press has announced the launch of their Parent Edition of Stargazer's Guided Reading Kit
"We wanted to make sure that parents could also take advantage of this affordable guided reading program," said Stargazer's Spokesperson.
This program is now used all over North America as an affordable guided reading program for schools, Stargazer Press has just finished changing over the great affordable program for parents.
In 2005, Stargazer Press brought out both the U.S. and Canadian Edition of this program. They followed this up by bringing out a British English, a Spanish, French and German version.
The program is entirely on a CD. It contains 130 printable booklets and has 26 reading levels for K-3. Some schools have remarked that they can use this CD to encourage higher students to keep going and to also bring up students who did not necessarily get all the finer details of reading at the beginning. All are printable PDF's.
"We recognize literacy as the primary right that children should be entitled to after food, shelter and concern for their being. We hope that by making this accessible worldwide that we can bring down the rate of illiteracy," said Stargazer Press spokesperson.
