LG Launches Luxury Chocolate Phone
Gold and Platinum series build on Chocolate’s popularity

Amman, Jordan - (February 2006) - LG Electronics, the worldwide technology leader in mobile communications, has announced the launch of two luxury versions of its award-winning Chocolate phone – Gold and Platinum.
LGE’s Gold and Platinum Chocolate (KE800) boasts greater functionality to the Chocolate range of handsets as well as superb new style. While maintaining the now famous glowing red touch keypad, the handset is enhanced by a gold and platinum band bearing the Chocolate legend and a gentle update of the classic LGE Chocolate styling.
On board functionality has been increased to accommodate an SD card memory slot, an upgraded 2 mega-pixel camera, an FM radio and twice as much on-board memory as the original Chocolate handset (256MB rather than 128MB). It also has an upgraded class-leading MP3, MPEG-4 and AAC music and video player and A2DP stereo Bluetooth functionality.

With the addition of an external memory card, LG Chocolate Gold comes into its own as a stylish music player.
To compliment the handset’s impressive playback capabilities, which also includes a real 5-band graphic equalizer, users can search through their music using voice activated commands as well as a keyword search function – ideal for music on the move.
LGE Chocolate Gold and Platinum are sure to prove popular additions to the Chocolate range. The previous chocolate phone model – launched in Jordan in August 2006 – has sold over ten million handsets globally, firmly establishing it as one of ‘the’ iconic handsets of all time. The Gold and Platinum Chocolate phones will be launched in the Middle East by the end of March 2007.
