Term Limits needed for members of the Planning Board and Zoning Board.
The Yonkers Insider believes that there should be term limits for members of the Zoning Board and the Planning Board. The Yonkers Insider believes that this will give an open voice to the people of this great City.
Also making sure that Insiders close to City Hall, don’t keep getting appointed. The Head of the Zoning Board has been on the Zoning Board for decades. That is not right.
We have term limits for the office of Mayor and the Yonkers City Council. Why not have term limits for members of these two most powerful boards - Zoning Board and the Planning Board. They do control the development process in this City.
We also need more community minded people on these boards to better represent the community of Yonkers. This is the best way to open up this City Government.
To my readers, what do you think of this proposal? We need to better open the process up and not keep the same insiders on these boards, we need new blood and to cleanse from the past dealings in this City.
We need to give community minded people, who want to give back to their City and reform our City and also have an open development process in this City.
