Tutoring Company Will Provide a Comprehensive 12 Week Course for High School Students Using Official College Board Tests and Materials

Santa Clara, CA; February 2, 2007 – Growing Stars is introducing a live online SAT test preparation course for high school students intending to sit for the test in May and June of this year.
The online tutoring company, which currently provides one-on-one tutoring via the Internet to school age students located around the US and overseas, is now bringing their expertise to the area of SAT test preparation. Beginning this month the comprehensive program will follow the official SAT Study Guide program and include 24 hours of actual instruction.
“As admission into college has become more and more competitive over the years parents and students alike are well aware of the importance of scoring well on the SAT and are increasingly looking for ways to help improve their chances. As we have seen the demand for online tutoring in math and science rise we felt students would also like the option of having an in-depth online SAT course to help them prepare,” said company spokesman Wayne Burckhardt. “Students today are very computer savvy and enjoy learning online. Each of the 12 online class sessions will be two hours long and are on Saturdays. A highly experienced teacher who has worked as an SAT instructor for over 14 years will lead the course. By utilizing the official tests and practice questions the results tend to be much more precise. Students will have completed eight full-length practice exams by the end of the program as well as having practice in writing complete essays. The initial price of the comprehensive course will be only $599. Students also have the option of taking just the verbal only portion for $399 or math only for $299.
