February 6, 2007 (Press Release) --
Daystar Manufacturing Inc is releasing LaunchPad™ the world’s first pneumatic adjustable height-folding chair for people 6’2” and over. The newly patented technology is the first advance using pneumatic cylinders on folding chairs.
Lockable gas springs let the chair be adjusted at the touch of a lever, placing the perch anywhere from 24 inches to 31 inches off the ground. It's covered in extra thick padding, but still folds up flat, to be stored on your average chair rack.
LaunchPad’s design is based on clinically tested seating built to minimize knee flexion, reducing stress on the joints. LaunchPad is also designed to reduce the demand necessary for rising from a chair, thus decreasing strain.
LaunchPad is being used courtside by the LA Laker’s head coach Phil Jackson. “Our goal was to develop folding chair technology that was superior to anything on the market,” reports company president, Lee V. Alderman. “We were pleased during the R & D phase that Phil Jackson wanted our prototype and started using it immediately as his game chair,” says Alderman.
Daystar didn’t set out to change the course of folding chair history, though that is exactly what happened. Daystar plans to release other folding chair styles and sizes over the next five years advancing the pneumatic technology to new levels.
For more information contact Al Hergott (847) 309-3735 or invent@seamless.net for details. The chair can be viewed at www.LaunchPadChair.com.
