More than 1.25 million square feet will showcase more than 1,000 vehicles, from domestic and imported passenger cars and trucks to SUVs and concept cars. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today through Feb. 17; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 18. Admission: $10 for adults; $5 for seniors aged 62 and older; $5 for children 7-12; children 6 and younger are free when they accompany a paying parent. CUPID'S LAST STAND
Single young Chicagoans take one last run at getting a sweetheart for Valentine's Day at the 16th annual Starlight Starbright Children's Foundations' Dream Date, at 6 p.m. today at the Park West, 322 W. Armitage. The evening's centerpiece is an auction with 17 eligible bachelors and bachelorettes for "sale," who have assembled date packages with goodies like trips and chances to meet celebrities, all to benefit seriously ill children. Floral designer Suzanne Cummings will be strategically deploying petals to keep the models decent in a Fresh Floral Swimwear Show, the midnight capper at Love Potion No. 9, an exotic Valentine's Day event today at Sound-Bar, 226 W. Ontario. Doors open at 9 p.m. Dave Ralph and Chris Walsh will perform; Sushi X, the Melting Pot and Vosges Haut-Chocolat will supply the treats; a Kissing Booth will give everyone a chance for at least one buss; and organizations involved in the fight against breast cancer will benefit.
