February 11, 2007 (Press Release) --
CLEVELAND, OH (February 11, 2007) Jeffrey Sloe has just announced his newest business venture, Live-Web-Conferencing.com. Mr. Sloe, a 52 year old retired automobile technician/heavy truck mechanic, has decided to hang up his tools and devote his time and energy to his new endeavor.
Live-Web-Conferencing.com is a web based business that promotes and sells the newly re-released VereConference system, a state-of-the-art VoIP web conferencing service. This totally web-based business enterprise will be run from the comforts of his home where overhead is minimal, and the need for employees is nonexistent.
Mr. Sloe says, “thirty years of hard work on cars and trucks has taken its toll on me physically…it’s just too difficult to continue with the intense physical work at my age. Besides I won’t have the pressures that exist with employees, along with the huge financial responsibility that comes with running a brick and mortar business.”
Live-Web-Conferencing.com poses challenges of its own, like marketing, training and support, and technology. Although the challenges aren’t physical in nature, there may be some mental strain that comes with any new start-up company, but some of the pressure may already have been eliminated by the owners of VereConference.
VereConference has been rebuilt from the ground up in the past few months, when Thomas Prendergast, CEO of Inetekk, the parent company of VereConference, and Mike Darling, president of Inetekk, found themselves in a dispute with a former joint-partner of VereConference.
The rebuilding of VereConference and the retiring of a truck mechanic, although as odd as it may seem, is a match made in heaven. It seems that Mr. Sloe, a self-taught computer guru and search engine optimization specialist, has been interested in technology ever since “his first taste of computers on vehicles.” Given his technical background and experience, it sounds like Mr. Sloe should be a good fit in the web conferencing industry.
Before Inetekk decided to rebuild VereConference, Mr. Prendergast and Mr. Darling, did their due-diligence and took a long look at the web conferencing industry. They searched Google for, and tested, products that they thought would meet their specifications. After years of frustration and not finding what they were looking for, VereConference was reborn.
VereConference offers high-quality VoIP web conferencing at a fraction of the cost of other services available on the net. Training and support were two other areas of concern, so the two partners of Inetekk, integrated a training and support system right into VereConference, giving users 24/7 live support, and daily training classes led by certified VereConference trainers.
Training has always been a passion of Mr. Sloe. In his thirty years in the automotive/truck industry, he has trained numerous automobile and truck technicians. So becoming a certified trainer with VereConference has been a fairly easy transition. Mr. Sloe is also facilitating a training class for “newbies” that sign up with Veretekk, an Internet lead generating and search engine optimization system.
Sloe is no newbie to the Internet world. He has been on the net since 1989 when he purchased his first computer. The Internet, although some still think it’s in its infancy stage today, has come a long way since 1989. Web conferencing now seems to be a way of life for many, what some call, Netizens. The word netizen was created by Michael Hauben, and according to Wikipedia, “a netizen is a person actively involved in online communities. Netizens use the Internet to engage in activities of the extended social groups of the internetworks.”
There’s a whole new group of individuals committed to turning the Internet into a community, just like the community you live in. Web conferencing and live online web conference rooms will be where these communities come together to share like interests. Myspace.com is one such large community, and now Google is trying to create the same situation with YouTube.com.
Online communities are growing fast and web conferencing, along with Mr. Sloe and VereConference, is what’s going to take it to the next level.
