Company, is experiencing strong growth in the Indian aviation market.
Cessna today signed a contract with Taneja Aerospace and Aviation for two Citation aircraft- a Citation XLS and a Cjs+. Teneja is a Cessna authorized sales representative in the region and will sell the aircraft to customers in India.
In response to the growing market and the need for training facilities in the region,
Cessna has entered into centres in India and is also considering the possibility of a new Cessna authorized service Center here.
Another sign of the potential growth for aerospace in India is the tremendous growth of engineering talent, which prompted Textron to set-up its own Global Technology Center in Bangalore in 2004.The Center provides engineering expertise on a variety of Textron programs.
Currently, there are more than 60 engineers working full time on Cessna related projects such as sustaining engineering and advanced product development.
