The title track “As I Am” was written by Grammy nominee Allan Rich, best known for co-writing Whitney Houston’s song “Run To You” and James Ingram’s “I Don’t Have The Heart.”
The CD is filled with love songs including “Maybe This Time” featuring exquisite sax work by Nederlands jazz masters Rolf Delfos and bassist Rene van Verseveld. “That's my sexy song,” Wendy laughs, “the chord changes just gets me in the mood.”“Meant To Be Together” is a straight up jazz tune reminiscent of any song off of Anita Bakers “Compositions” album. “Lead Me Home” transcends singing.
