TransTech and Evolis have formed an arrangement which allows TransTech to provide both in warranty and out of warranty service for Evolis printers. In recent years, the only option for warranty repair was depot service provided by the factory and options for service loaners were non-existent. Through this new arrangement, resellers of Evolis ID products will now have several repair options available to them regardless of where they have purchased the printers.
TransTech will now offer full in warranty repair coverage of all Evolis ID printer products via their depot repair service. Warranties vary with each model so if you need coverage which extends beyond the normal factory limits, TransTech is also announcing 1, 2, 3, or 4-year extended depot repair warranty service contracts. These can be purchased in advance or can be renewed each year to expand the life of the products warranty to a full 5 years from purchase.
For those printers placed in mission critical operations, extended coverage may not be enough. For these situations, TransTech also offers an Evolis service printer loaner program. When a printer is still under the standard factory warranty, TransTech Systems offers both 1 and 2-year service loaner add-on contracts. These contracts may be added at any time during the factory warranty period and may be pro-rated. For additional years, TransTech offers an extended depot repair warranty contract with service loaner printer options for the same term lengths as the extend depot contracts.
If the extended depot repair warranty service contracts are purchased at the same time as the printer, no additional requirements are necessary. Some limitations may apply to printers already in the field. A valid proof of purchase must be presented showing purchase date and applicable serial number in order for the printer to qualify for an in warranty repair or any service contract option.
