Leslee Breene creates stories from the heart. Her focus has centered on western historical and contemporary romance. LEADVILLE LADY is her second published novel, for which she received the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers PEN Award.
A short story, The New Man, was serialized in the 2005 fall and holiday issue of Miss Kitty's Journal, Colorado's Official Tea Room Directory. Pueblo Dancer and Snow Angels of San Marcial won First Place in national short fiction awards.
Ms. Breene attended The University of Denver, was awarded a Denver Fashion Group Scholarship, and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City.
During leisure time away from her computer, she enjoys scouting for book settings with her husband in the Colorado Rockies.
A believer in supporting fellow writers, Ms. Breene is an active member of Colorado Romance Writers, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, Romance Writers of America, and Women Writing the West.
