Announcing the launch of the new course, Mr.Venkatesh S.V., CEO and Managing Director and Mr.Srinath, technical head, of Raman International Institute of Information Technology, said that the software industry needed such course badly which has now turned into reality.
Course with a Difference:
Addressing the press conference, Mr. Venkatesh.S.V informed that the course has been developed so as to supplement all ingredients of an IT-finishing school, as well as a training program that can support the students from even from non-technical background.
The course is accredited at the professional level, with the certification from University of Mysore (UOM). The program has been externally vetted by UOM, to ensure that it meets the highest standard of the profession and industry.
Mr. Venkatesh informed that the course is simple and helpful for students even with no knowledge of computer programming. It also acts as an IT-Finishing School for software engineering or postgraduate students, with focus on communication skills, soft skills and exposure to corporate culture.

Giving details of the course, Mr. Venkatesh informed that course is divided into four sections – Foundation track, Tech-track, Project track and Internship track, all with duration of 3 months each.
Foundation-track grooms students into professionals, with emphasis on communication, teamwork, business knowledge and problem solving techniques.
Tech-track trains up the students in programming and technical knowledge. Students can specialize either in Java or in .Net. The course-content is updated every year to suit industry requirements.
In project track, live projects based on actual case studies are given to the students that make them to visit the industries frequently due to which they are exposed to the corporate world and understand their demands. This helps them to apply the skills they have learnt, and to get real-life experience of the theoretical knowledge they have gained in previous tracks.
In Internship track, students are placed in software companies, and are assigned projects which they have to complete during 3-month’s track-period. The practical knowledge and intensive training and practice develop them as complete professionals, and drive them towards their dream job.
