February 26, 2007 (Press Release) --
Charlotte, NC (February 26, 2007) – Raycom Sports / Lincoln Financial Sports coverage of the 2007 ACC basketball tournament and Lincoln Financial Sports coverage of the 2007 SEC basketball tournament will feature opening segments with music video from multi platinum-selling Mercury duo Sugarland.
The videos, which will run at the beginning of every session in the tournaments, will feature exciting highlights from this year's ACC and SEC games, along with clips from the video to their current top 10 Billboard hit “Settlin’”.
The song, which can be found on their current album Enjoy the Ride, evokes feelings of not taking anything less than everything, which in this case would mean the tournament championship. Coverage for both the ACC and SEC tournaments starts on Thursday, March 8.
Sugarland joins a list of star studded performers who have worked on openings for Lincoln Financial Sport’s / Raycom Sport’s football and basketball productions. Artists have included Alison Krauss, Brooks and Dunn, and Ricky Skaggs. “Bands like Sugarland help to bring out the entertainment value of sports by enhancing the viewers experience,” said David Barringer, producer Lincoln Financial Sports.
