Kristin Chenoweth, star of stage, screen and The West Wing, is headed back to television. Daily Variety notes Chenoweth has signed onto the cast of Pushing Up Daisies, a Warner Bros. TV pilot aimed at ABC’s schedule.
Chenoweth will star in the drama about a man who falls in love with a dead woman, and manages to bring her back to life. Barry Sonnenfeld is directing the pilot.
The actress also has three features in the pipeline. Asphalt Beach, Rapunzel and an as-yet untitled biography film about Dusty Springfield. Right now she’s on Broadway starring in The Apple Tree. Chenoweth’s last regular television job was playing media expert Annabeth Schott in the final seasons of The West Wing.
