Irish Blog Awards 2007 announce branding, business blogging and business development blog, Biz Growth News, as a finalist in the best Irish Business Blog category.

The Irish Blog Awards recognise the highest standards of blogging in Ireland. Now in their second year, 4800 votes were cast from people based in 67 countries which resulted in the final short list.
Biz Growth News, a business blog which focuses on branding, business blogging and business development strategies and tips for professional services firms has been short listed in the finals for the Business Blogging category.
Krishna De, author of Biz Growth News commented “I am delighted that not only is Biz Growth News in the final shortlist for the 2007 Irish Blog Awards, but so is one of my clients which is terrific.”
She continued “Business blogging is a highly effective tool to incorporate into your marketing and communications strategy, build buzz around your brand and encourage engagement with your clients and key stakeholders.”
Passionate about encouraging businesses in Ireland to embrace business blogs, Krishna De approached the other nominations in the Business Blogging category to collaborate to produce a special report on business blogging in Ireland which will be available in March 2007.
She also created a business podcast where she interviewed the finalists of the business blog category of the Irish Blog Awards about their tips and insights on how business blogging had supported building their brand on line and their ability to attract more clients. The business blogging podcast is available at no cost at Biz Growth News.
When asked about her inspiration for the business blogging podcast, Krishna De commented “Business blogging in Ireland is still a little known strategy to build buzz about your brand and as yet non of the top 50 Irish companies have started blogging. My idea for the research and business blogging podcast was to showcase the benefits of business blogging from already successful business blogs. Hopefully this will inspire other business leaders in Ireland to consider business blogs as part of their marketing and communications mix”.
The winners of the Irish Blog Awards will be announced on the 3 March 2007 at the awards ceremony at the Alexander Hotel, Dublin.
