Padmashree College of Hospital Administration, a division of Padmashree Group of Institutions, Bangalore, a dedicated group for quality teaching and training Hospital Administrators jointly with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences today announced their launch of “INNOVATION” - a Healthcare Leadership Conference for Healthcare Management Executives and students of Hospital Administration to learn and experience recent developments in the healthcare management field. The Conference will be held on March 10, 2007 at NIMHANS Convention Centre and will be inaugurated by Dr. V.S Acharya, Minister for Medical Education, Karnataka. The other eminent guests who will be present are Dr. Devi Shetty, Dr.S Chandrashekar Shetty, Mr. Ananth Kumar, Mr. Vivek Kulkarni, Dr. B. S Ajai Kumar, Prof CA K Yesudian, Fr Thomas Kalam, and Dr Jayaram.
Announcing the launch Dr. Ashwath Narayan C.N, Chairman of Padmashree Group of Institutions said “We are pleased to launch INNOVATION, which is an designed to improve the leadership skills required for tomorrow’s successful healthcare organizations. The objective of this program is to create a platform where the peers of the field can meet and learn by sharing their vast experiences and challenges faced by them in their professional life. The conference will craft the existing managers and future managers with the strongest potential by developing their headship skills of decision- making at a very rapid pace in order to keep their organizations current and competitive.”
Taking the opportunity, Dr. Ashwath announced that, “Padmashree Group has taken the initiative to set up a Knowledge Park, a first of its kind in Karnataka on the lines of Bio Park, which will enable various organizations to have their pick of the crème a la crème of highly trained students. It would also be an excellent stage for students with high potential to shine.”
Elaborating the design of the conference, Dr. Ashwath said, “ We are looking for ways to improve quality services sensitive to the need of patient care, increase efficiency by being highly cost conscious with commitment to keep service cost within the reach of the common man. All this will be achieved through a series of Panel discussions, poster presentations and invaluable access to the perspectives of top leaders on the burning issues in the industry.”
Further to this, Dr. Ashwath said, “This program will be a big leap/ opportunity for India to become a focal point for health tourism, and understanding the need of the hour we are grooming the young to take up the mantle.”
