March 10, 2007 (Press Release) --
A new Internet site, www.YourSuperhero.net, allows consumers to hire highly successful comic book artists to create superhero versions of their colleagues, family and friends, it was announced today by media entrepreneur and former News Corporation executive Dan Cooper.
"Each of us has at least one hero in our lives, be it a university graduate, salesman of the year, a religious leader or a beloved relative who has provided the path for a greater, happier life," said Cooper. "Imagine them drawn by comic artists, depicted using the powers that make them unique, as though they were a Superman or Wonder Woman. This is a gift that any family treasures, and that is meant to be handed down generation after generation."
YourSuperhero.net displays on the web site's home page a British royal battling a monster of the deep in the loch at her family's castle in Scotland. Another example on the site is a Hollywood voice actor, a star in the field of creating animated character voices, shown as a superhero in the act of physically creating cartoon characters.
Cooper's team of artists live and work around the globe in a business model built on globalisation. "The language of comic art is international and the admiration for the superheros in each person's life is ubiquitous. Bringing the two together in the form of a unique gift is a celebration available to every person in every culture," said Cooper.
