A Biographical Film for Sigourney Weaver Again, with James Cameron

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 11, 2007 -- It�s a biographical film for Sigourney Weaver again, but this one is a long way from gorilla expert Dian Fossey. Daily Variety reports the actress will follow up her turn in James Cameron�s long awaited science fiction epic Avatar with Gypsy and Me, an HBO telefilm in which she�ll play Gypsy Rose Lee. Lee�s early career and the life of her legendary stage mother form the basis behind the storyline for the perennial musical Gypsy.

The telefilm will begin far later, in the 1950s� when Lee decides to give up stripping and becomes a bestselling author, a professional celebrity, and incidentally, gets her life story turned into a very successful musical.

The film will be based somewhat on the book My G-String Mother, written by her son, Erik Lee Preminger, son of director Otto Preminger, something he didn�t find out until after his mother�s death.
Weaver will also serve as Executive Producer on the film.

The rap star has had several run-ins with law enforcement in the past year. Police say he's driven with a suspended license, beaten his former driver in a dispute over money, and talked on a cell phone while driving.

Rhymes' hits include "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" and "Dangerous."
