March 19, 2007 (Press Release) --
Imagine Tomorrow® is custom software, curriculum, and classes developmentally-designed for young learners. The curriculum was developed by former school teacher Judy Patterson to meet national Head Start Standards for early childhood education. The classes offer children a unique learning environment in which they develop thinking and problem-solving skills, early reading and writing skills, listening skills and concentration, teamwork and self-confidence all brought together through technology. The very small class sizes ensure that each student is given personal one-on-one attention throughout the class. Imagine Tomorrow® Founder/CEO, Judy Patterson says, “I created Imagine Tomorrow to inspire young children to explore their world, think creatively, and believe in themselves!”
During class, children become Computer Detectives on a learning adventure to imaginative places such as the Email Trail or Internet Island. Classes start with an interactive video voicemail describing a new, fun-filled mission. Children then move on to their own computers where they work on custom software designed specifically for each mission. Advancing at their own pace, children proudly apply new technology skills to solve problems and accomplish their goals. Concepts such as e-mail, opening and closing programs, and how the computer works are presented in a fun, interactive way that also incorporates mouse and keyboarding skills. The children regroup at the end of class to review what they’ve learned in the lesson. After class, children continue to enjoy their mission from home with online software activities that correspond to the current lesson.
“It is so much more than just computer classes, Judy has created a program that will allow a 3-year-old and a 7-year-old to be in the same class and both are successful. The classes offer the opportunity to learn computer skills that also reinforce and incorporate everything else the child is learning in preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary school.”
"Our son's enthusiasm for each classroom session and his pride in sharing his accomplishments and skills are testimony to the quality of the experience. My wife and I believe that Imagine Tomorrow is the finest program that we have encountered for our son," stated Greg Staley, father of a child enrolled in the Imagine Tomorrow® program in New Jersey.
Wee Teach U is now enrolling students age three to seven for portable classes that will be offered at local facilities during the spring and summer.
