A new Web directory format was unveiled recently with the launch of www.BigWebLinks.com, one of the first Web directories offering website owners full control over their placement in link rankings.
For_Immediate_Release:

March 30, 2007 (Press Release) -- A new paid Web directory was recently launched at www.BigWebLinks.com. Being among the first of its kind, Big Web Links offers website owners full control over their submission’s placement in results, by operating under a bidding structure - the higher the bid amount, the higher the placement in the directory listings. Big Web Links, unlike most general Web directories, also offers two links rather than one, with the inclusion of a listing details page for every submission.

The bidding structure used by Big Web Links, which determines rankings not only within categories but also with the top ten links featured on the home page, is similar to that used by other types of websites, such as press release distribution sites like PRweb. The biggest difference is that the bidding doesn’t restart daily, so site owners only have to place a bid (or an upgrade) if they’re outbid and want to improve the ranking of their permanent link, rather than bidding every day with new content to maintain home page presence. This allows full control, less of a marketing cost, and more visibility on a highly-promoted website.

While two links are guaranteed for all paid submissions to www.BigWebLinks.com, the potential exists to obtain four links if bid levels place a submission within the top ten links on the directory as they’ll then appear, not only in the top twenty links listing, but also gain exposure on the directory’s home page. The directory is being very heavily promoted, offering added benefits to website owners such as targeted traffic to submitted sites, link value as the directory’s own ranking grows, and the ability to attract advertisers and customers directly, all with affordable, permanent, category-targeted links.

About Big Web Links

The Big Web Links paid Web directory is among the first Web directories to sort submissions by bid amount, rather than popularity, Google Page Rank, or alphabetical listings, allowing website owners full control over the position of their site in BigWebLinks.com results. The directory offers at least two links to every site submitted, with the addition of a listing details page for each submission. Because there is a top twenty listings page, and the top ten submissions are displayed on the directory’s homepage, site owners have the potential of gaining four incoming links, depending on their submission bid. All listings on BigWebLinks.com are permanent, and site owners can “upgrade” their bids if they’re outbid in the future.
