LOG-NET Announces Hanjin Shipping as the 2006 LOG-NETTM E Commerce Excellence Award Winner

April 11, 2007, RED BANK, NJ -- LOG-NET, Inc., an industry leader in international web-based supply chain execution solutions, announced that Hanjin Shipping Corporation, one of the major contributors to global marine transport, was named the recipient of the annual LOG-NET e-commerce excellence award. The award was presented at the Journal of Commerce’s Transpacific Maritime Conference in Long Beach, California. The award recognizes Hanjin Shipping for its consistent performance across multiple clients and its ability to achieve the highest level of completeness among all ocean carriers rated in the delivery of EDI events LOG-NET customers have selected most important to them.
The competition for this year's award was very high. Standards among the top e-commerce required performance in the high ninety percent range to qualify among the top five lines in the world. At the award ceremony LOG-NET made honorable mention to the four other carriers qualifying in the top five due to their tremendous performance in each area of e-commerce. Hyundai, Merchant Marine, APL, K-Line and Evergreen rounded out the top five, respectively.
The caliber of performance this year was outstanding," noted John Motley, President and CEO of LOG-NET, Inc. "To differentiate amongst the top lines we found it necessary to increase the fidelity of our scoring by rating more events." The qualifying carriers transmitting to LOG-NET now includes almost forty of the world's leading shipping lines, representing the largest collection of ocean carriers in the world, interfacing with a single logistics portal. In addition to completeness, timeliness and accuracy, LOG-NET also measures the number of customers each carrier brings on line to rate the ease of establishing connections with the carrier.
