“Celebrate the Joys of Conservative Judaism” at Congregation Shirat Shalom in Elgin.
Share our celebration of Saturday morning Shabbat services at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th. As we read the Torah portion Tazria – M’tzora, we will be discussing the concept of lashon hara, or evil speech – how the things we say, as well as the things we do, affect others.
Yom Ha’Shoah services will be held on Sunday, April 15th at 7:30 p.m. to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust.
Hazzan Sarah Alexander will be at the Gail Borden Library in Elgin for a program titled “Jewish Music, it’s more than Yiddish Favorites” on April 17th at 7:30 p.m.
Our next “Tot Shabbat” service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, April 20th.
Shirat Shalom is the place to enjoy Conservative Judaism with a view of nature and a sense of community; it is a place where each person counts. The address is 30W509 Shoe Factory Road in Elgin, just west of Beverly Rd. and east of Route 59.
Guests are welcome to visit on Shabbat or to meet with Hazzan Sarah Alexander by appointment. Call or email for more information.
Watch for other events at www.CongregationShiratShalom.org.
