Northwest Renewable, LLC Announces EPC Agreement with Makad Construction Corp. and Lurgi, Inc.
(Vancouver, WA) — April 11, 2007 — Northwest Renewable, LLC announced today that it has signed a comprehensive, guaranteed lump sum, turnkey, engineering, procurement and construction contract (“EPC Agreement”) with Makad Construction Corp. (“MCC”) of Vancouver, WA and Lurgi, Inc. of Memphis, TN. Pursuant to the EPC Agreement, Lurgi, Inc. will supply process technology and provide engineering and procurement services for the construction of Northwest Renewable, LLC’s 55 million gallon per year dry mill ethanol plant in Longview, WA. MCC will act as the general contractor. The Notice to Proceed on the Longview Project has been given and the ethanol plant is currently under construction. It should be operational by the fourth quarter of 2008. The Longview Project has been developed by Makad Corp. of Vancouver, WA.
Vancouver based Northwest Renewable plans to sell its ethanol production to US Ethanol, LLC for distribution throughout the I-5 Corridor along the West Coast.
