Dr. Glickman's practice focuses on helping children, adolescents, and families with difficulties such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavior problems, peer difficulties, Phobias, Divorce, Adjustment Disorders, OCD, Social Anxiety/Phobia, Blended Families, Grie, Trichotillomania, Low self-esteem, Puberty, Single Parenting, Sleep Dificulties, and Relocation adjustments. In addition, Dr. Glickman has extensive experience working with children diagnosed with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, cystic fibrosis, colitis, encopresis, and enuresis. Dr. Glickman works with the parents and the child to help with adherence to medical regimens, coping with new medical diagnoses and lifestyle changes, and decreasing stress associated with medical procedures.
Dr. Glickman is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of New Jersey (License #4383) who received her Ph.D. at the University of Miami in Florida. She primarily uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach, atlhough aspects of other theoretical approaches may be incorporated into therapy. Dr. Glickman believes that it is very important to involve the parents in the child's therapy, and does so whenever possible.
