April 12, 2007 (Press Release) --
Dr. Inetta Jenkins Cooper, a sharecropper’s daughter from South Carolina has recently been named CEO of NPower™ Records and Entertainment, based in Dallas Texas. Dr. Cooper took the helms of the new record label during a ceremony in August 5, 2006 during the NPower™ Records’ label launch at the 2nd Annual Women-N-Power National Convention at the Radisson Hotel Expo Mart in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cooper comes from humble beginnings, and may be quoted as saying “My entire life is a miracle from God.” She states “She was born in Kingstree, South Carolina to an unwed mother, given away at birth and raised by her grandfather and step-grandmother. She worked in the cotton fields and tobacco fields of South Carolina. She was abused as a young girl and was often told she would never amount to anything. During the summer months she worked in the fields plowing with a mule, picking cotton and gathering tobacco. During the winter months she worked with her step-mother as a maid.” She believes her childhood experiences could have easily led her to substance abuse, alcohol and promiscuity to ease her pain. However, In spite of all the adversity in her life she has risen to become the top executive of NPower™ Records and Entertainment, Founder and Visionary of WoMen-N-Power and Teens-N-Power International Ministry Network, Publisher of NPower Magazine, and Executive Producer of the NPower Gospel Hour Television Show.
Dr. Cooper serves as Founder of Women-N-Power International Ministries Network; one of the fastest growing networking ministries in the world. Dr. Cooper is a proven leader and visionary. She is available for speaking engagements and would be an inspiration to all groups.
She is affiliated with professional and community service organizations such as the National Association of Black Females Executives in Music and Entertainment, Community Development Corporation, National Association of Church Business Administration, NAACP, and the South Carolina Lupus Foundation. She received her Doctorate of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville Florida.
Dr. Inetta Jenkins Cooper is available for interview. Photos are available upon request and from the website.
