Celebrity feud moves to the South and provides new comedy material.

Fries Virginia- Actress Jennifer Redbird in her hometown to promote her new movie MORNING SONG WAY at the TOP TEN FILMS IN AMERICA FESTIVAL today denied that she was feuding with Paris Hilton. She did add fuel to the fire however by stating that “those people and Indians don’t really walk in the same circles”. The controversy started back in the fall at a screening of the film in Oklahoma at the International Cherokee Film Festival. Fans of Redbird spoke to reporters and were quoted as saying that Redbird appealed to minorities and particularly Native American youth because “she isn’t about fashion, glitz, parties, and things that don’t really mean anything in the long run like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears appear to be“. A fellow actress jumped into the fray and made statements comparing the three to airheads. Up until now Redbird had remained silent on the issue.
In Indian country, the buzz is that Redbird might have a chance to follow in Graham Greene’s footsteps. Greene won an Oscar for his role as a medicine man in Kevin Costner’s Dances With Wolves. Jennifer Redbird walked twenty miles per day during the filming of MORNING SONG WAY in which her character goes from an atmosphere of drugs and violence to a world of traditional beliefs and community harmony. MORNING SONG WAY has won eleven awards so far on the film festival tour including eight at Native American film festivals and several for Redbird including Best Actress and a Rising Star award.
Comedians have been milking the feud for all it is worth. There are two jokes currently making the rounds.
“Have you heard about the feud between Paris Hilton and Jennifer Redbird?
Apparently Redbird doesn’t even know that there is a feud. Hilton doesn’t even know, well…ANYTHING.”
The other which is a little anti semantic goes like this:
“Jennifer Redbird and Paris Hilton are feuding. But Jennifer is willing to bury the hatchet. In Hilton’s forehead!”
Nashville stand up comedian Heather Horton is coming to town to promote her movie BERNEE and is expecting to pick up additional material for her routine as a perk. Other jokes circulating are:
“Lindsay Lohan today checked into a rehab in Los Angeles and Phoenix AND Cincinnati.”
“Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears came to the aid of Paris Hilton today in the feud against actress Jennifer Redbird but they forgot why they were there and went out to PARTY!”
Red Bird is undaunted by the hoopla. She lives in a small mountain community and still attends public school. Native American actress Glenda Bean and actress Catherine Sewell are also scheduled to attend the Virginia Premiere of MORNING SONG WAY. Another Native American film, RAIN IN THE MOUNTAINS will screen during the four day TOP TEN FILMS IN AMERICA FESTIVAL along with THE CLINTON 12, a documentary of civil rights narrated by James Earl Jones and several world premiere motion pictures, shorts, and foreign films.
