KCNA (Pyongyang) - The round-table talks on the theme of "President Kim Il Sung and the Sino-Korean Friendly Relations" were held in Beijing on April 10 under the co-sponsorship of the China Association for International Friendly Contact and the Beijing Association for International Friendly Contact on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
The participants watched the Korean film "For the Liberation of the Country."
Shen Weiping, vice-president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, a participant in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, a director of the Beijing Association for International Friendly Contact, and other personages in their speeches at the talks noted that Kim Il Sung was the founder of the party, army and state of the DPRK and his whole life was dedicated to the liberation and independence of the nation, prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.
Kim Il Sung established strong revolutionary friendship with the Chinese people during the common struggle against Japanese and U.S. imperialists and for the building of socialism, providing a foundation of the Sino-Korean friendship, they stressed.
They expressed belief that the Korean people would achieve greater success in building a great prosperous powerful nation without fail under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il and the Sino-Korean friendship would grow stronger under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.
Present there were Chen Zuming, secretary general of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, Bao Liangming, executive vice-president of the Beijing Association for International Friendly Contact, and other personages of various circles and participants in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
Present on invitation were Ambassador Choe Jin Su and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Beijing.
