My Blessed Son

April 14, 2007

I am mother of Kim Hyok Il the leader Kim Jong Il met in January last year.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 14, 2007 -- I still wonder if it were real that my son received such great honour, and at night would get up and look into my son’s face. Then the memories of the unforgettable day and the past come back to my mind.

People call my son “little talent”; however, he was no better than other children. He was only fond of drawing all things he saw and his “drawings” were clumsy.

One evening, when Hyok Il was four years old, a teacher from the Sinuiju Ponbu Kindergarten called at my house. She told me that she heard my son liked drawing. Then she held Hyok Il who was playing outside on her lap and leafed through the stack of his drawings.

She told me that Hyok Il had a taste for drawing that should be developed. I was very glad to hear that.

But I hesitated a little.

The teacher read my mind and said, “The state has established a regular early education system in order to develop the talents of the children. So the country will take care of Hyok Il’s education.”

Thus he began to study drawing at the Sinuiju Ponbu Kindergarten.

From then on my son was put under boundless care and affection.

The headmistress and teachers at the kindergarten held discussions every week about the teaching methods for Hyok Il. They invited career painters to instruct him and took him to the zoo to look at a living tiger, for he was rather a good hand at drawing tigers.

The teacher, Ri Sun Jong, who had visited us at that time, became his teacher. She took my son to the kindergarten on her back for two years and taught him drawing.

Under such care Hyok Il could improve his skill and give joy to the leader Kim Jong Il.

That day the leader saw every piece of my son’s drawing and spoke highly of them. He said that Hyok Il drew tigers better than other things.

When I saw my son embraced by the leader on newspapers and TV, I could hardly hold my feelings in check.

All the affections and happiness my son is enjoying are unthinkable apart from the socialist education system and the regular early education system.

My country is really a benevolent socialism that takes care of our children and all other people in this land.

Pak Jong Sun, Sinuiju, North Phyongan Province
