Since the first series of reports published by The Automotive Research Centre in 2001, the rapid change within the global automotive industry has continued.
Major trends including the expansion of the European Union and increasing globalisation have has seen considerable vehicle production shift to Eastern European countries. Now, for the first time wheel demand data and forecasts are available for Eastern European production in our new report The Eastern Europe Aluminium Wheel Demand Forecast.
This forecast report includes fifteen years of data, from 2000 to 2015, with a ten year forecast from 2005 to 2015 based on MIRU’s respected forecast car and light truck production volumes. The report covers OEM line fitment of aluminium wheels.
Vehicle production and Eastern Europe is forecast to grow significantly, with new major players like Hyundai Kia, together with traditional European manufacturers, are investing heavily in new plants.
The resulting aluminium wheel demand is forecast to treble.
