April 18, 2007 (Press Release) --
Press Release for Immediate Release:
HELP PEOPLE IN NEED ACCESS FREE MEDICATIONS
People across the United States are receiving their prescription drugs for free or at a very low cost!!
The best keep secret in medicine today is the Patient Assistance Programs through the pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The Free RX Community Awareness Project (FreeRXCAP), a not-for-profit program, exists to aggressively educate and inform physicians, healthcare providers, hospitals, charitable organizations and churches that Patient Assistance Programs are available for people that struggle to afford their prescription medicines
Patient Assistance Programs have been available through pharmaceutical companies for more than 50 years. In 2004, an estimated 22,119,664 prescriptions were filled with a wholesale value of $4,179,393,960.00.
Patient Assistance Programs are for individuals whose incomes are above the state Medicaid guidelines that have no prescription coverage. More than 46 million Americans today are without health coverage. Approximately 8 out of 10 Americans without health care coverage are in families that are actively employed at full-time jobs or a series of part-time jobs. With both the increase of uninsured Americans and the cost of medications, community awareness is essential.
The Patient Assistance Programs are for individuals of all ages nationwide: families, students, singles, working people, unemployed or underemployed. These programs are for individuals who have no public or private prescription drug coverage.
Other circumstances that may qualify individuals because of the hardship of paying retail prices are job turnover, divorce, students no longer on parents’ health coverage, and people taking care of loved ones and paying for their prescriptions because they can’t afford them.
FreeRXCAP helps get the medications to individuals that are having financial hardship because of the increasing cost of medications. FreeRXCAP acts as a third party advocate to get much needed medications in to the hands of people who need it the most.
FreeRXCAP does much more than merely inform individuals of the programs, but works with a company called Medwise, which acts as administrator, the liaison between the patient, physician and the pharmaceutical manufacturers by filling out the applications for the client and the doctor. The medications are sent directly to the physician’s office by the pharmaceutical companies for the client or someone they designate to pick them up.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a financial hardship in obtaining prescription medicines, you may qualify for the Patient Assistance Program through U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturers.
For additional information, please contact your FreeRXCAP representative at 1-888-889-2330.
Note for Editors and News Directors: FreeRXCAP Director Neil Thompson and Medical Director Dr. Paul Fox are available for additional information and interviews. Please call 1-866-427-6759.
