World Nonwovens Industry: The Ten Leading Producers (Edition 1/3, 2004)
Global sales of nonwoven roll goods grew by about 5% to US$14 bn in 2003 as the global economy recovered. Sales of the leading ten companies, which ranged from US$185 mn to US$1.4 bn in 2003, accounted collectively for approximately US$7 bn—50% of the total. Five of the world’s top ten producers—Kimberly-Clark, BBA Fiberweb, PGI Nonwovens, Ahlstrom and Colbond—managed to increase their sales in 2003 in terms of US dollars while the other five more or less maintained them.
