April 23, 2007 (Press Release) --
For Immediate Release.
Austin, TX , April 23, 2007
In response to two centuries of clamor for a new, singable National Anthem, Mark Plimsoll, author and Multi-media Pioneer releases what may become the defining cultural artifact for the Bush administration.
As a small, downloadable .MP3 file, playable in iPods, pen-drives, and personal computers, on some systems it also reveals artwork and lyrics that succinctly express the ideology of the United States of America much better than that old English drinking song, "The Star Spangled Banner."
Released free of charge and copyright restrictions over the Internet (at WWW.ARCHIVE.ORG and at WWW.MARKPLIMSOLL.COM, Archive.org, and other sites that host podcasts and independent music.
Mr. Plimsoll wants to commemorate the upcoming Supreme Court Case that will probably put the final nail in the National Coffin designed by America's outdated Public School System.
Through ebooks and podcasts of his latest multi-media novel (with RSS feed at www.markplimsoll.com/cellur.xml) all protected by the Creative Commons copyright, Mark Plimsoll distributes high quality online content. Through the internet, everyone connected may access the a multi-media file, distributed with a Creative Commons copyright that makes it freely available, reproducible, distributable, and sellable and therefore profitable, for any member humanity on this planet and quite probably, beyond. This method of distribution honors the age-old recognition that whatever productive or creative humans create belongs to humanity, eventually, and so it stands to reason, better sooner than later if at all valuable.
Mr. Mark Plimsoll wrote, recorded, edited, produced, and distributes the song on "free" software. The owners of this type of intellectual property, in this case software and content in many media formats, make their work available to the general public under the Creative Commons Copyright, or similar disclaimers, to give permission for free use in not-for-profit activities, as an expression of perhaps "un-American" altruistic sentiments with a vision toward the betterment of the future for all.
With the release of this new National Anthem, Mr. Plimsoll seeks to help Americans express what they learned in the Public School System to really believe about this land of freedom, with liberty and justice for all.
