Historic San Diego Hardware building sustained a fire on April 14, 2007 which caused substantial damage to Forseti Gallery.

For_Immediate_Release:

April 23, 2007 (Press Release) -- Forseti Gallery today announced that its gallery and graphics facility located in the San Diego Hardware building, 846 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, California, was damaged by fire on April 14, 2007. The extent of the damage to the building is not yet known but Forseti estimates substantial smoke damage to art works, furniture, and office equipment. The Gallery is waiting for the fire department report and the insurance adjuster to examine the facility before taking any action to clean up the damage. Forseti has closed and postponed exhibitions.
