From the first page to the last, Jesus Christ is the author’s focus

LONGWOOD, FL—With so many conflicting offshoots and sects within Christianity, it’s no wonder people are confused on what identifies a person as a Christian. Emlen S. Garrett has read the Bible about 25 times in his journey toward spiritual maturity, in addition to studying Bible commentaries, Hebrew and Greek, and biblical progression. “Many times in this book, I ask [readers] to make Bible reading a daily and lifelong habit,” says Garrett. “By introducing Jesus Christ in ways not often thought of, I hope others will take a look at seriously reading the Bible and commit to it. Without proper biblical knowledge, they are at the mercy of teachers who may or may not have their best interests in mind.”
The Mark of a Christian holds to a literal and complete interpretation of the Holy Bible. If a church tradition, denomination, author, preacher, evangelist, or creed is not supported by the Bible, it’s not worth contemplating, says the author. In addition, Garrett believes God’s full intent and purpose for mankind is wrapped up in the 66 books of the Bible and that we need no other input to live content, full lives in Christ.
