April 25, 2007 (Press Release) --
Miami, FL – Deb Eyerdam, President of marketing consultants RND Solutions, Inc., announced the launch of her new website, www.dogsforwomen.com. “You can literally call this my ‘pet’ project,” Eyerdam explained. “The idea grew out of my own experience looking for a second dog to join our family of 2 humans, 3 cats and 1 Golden Retriever.” Eyerdam, a veteran public relations and marketing executive explained that her own internet research convinced her there is a need for a one-stop source to help women:
• Make informed choices when shopping for a dog to suit their lifestyle,
• Continue to make good choices about socialization, training, nutrition, etc. after they bring the new pup home,
• Give women who must give up their dog a venue to find another female to adopt their pet (and visa versa),
• Give women a site to share photos and stories about their dogs, and perhaps win a contest or two along the way. Thus www.dogsforwomen.com was born.
Why women? Ms. Eyerdam explains, “Men will find this site helpful too, but women are usually the shoppers, the ones who do their homework when buying for themselves and/or their family. There are a number of good websites to help everyone learn about dog breeds, but these sites are pretty generic. A person can easily become overwhelmed trying to digest and decipher the vast amounts of information - especially if they don’t have a good working knowledge of various breeds. By catering to women, dogsforwomen.com is closing the gap and narrowing the focus in an attempt to avoid overload and confusion. And by focusing on this niche, we’ve created a wonderful source for an adoption center – because anyone who has done their homework knows that a dog that has been raised by a woman is far more likely to bond to another woman rather than a man. Doing your homework is what this site’s about – it makes for more happy pets and more happy pet owners.”
The website welcomes comments from dog owners and is actively seeking individuals and businesses that want to reach this targeted market with products and services. We are also more than happy to link with animal shelters, veterinarians, newspapers and other organizations that have dogs available for adoption to women.
Dogsforwomen.com is in a growth stage and soon will be adding new components that include a Dog Blog, a Lifestyle Q&A with a database search to find breeds appropriate for different lifestyles, and an Adoption Center. As the content grows, so will the Meta tags. For more information contact deb@dogsforwomen.com.
