Started in 2003, CitisBest.com is a community driven on-line directory service with a difference. Consumers can also add their favorite merchants, rate them; participate in their guest books and the individual city forums. The results can be viewed by any unregistered user.
While any users, merchants, service providers and businesses can post their products and services on the website, the powers lie with the consumer to rate, comment, and praise and generally guide other consumers on their experiences vis-à-vis each outlet posted on the site. Targeted at local residents, travelers and the floating population in each city, CitisBest.com is a unique collaborative web information initiative and has already achieved remarkable success in cities on Internet.
The website started as a single city service, and has grown to encompass first five metros, then all cities across India and now the world. During its evolution, both consumers and merchants have praised the effort and have appreciated the community efforts in getting and giving local residents and travelers an independent platform to get to know what’s best in any city of the choice across the globe. During this time of evolution, there were difficulties faced on it to work well. However, now doing well.
